A (Slightly Overdue) Link and List Roundup

Greetings and salutations!

It’s the start of a new year (well, we are still in the first quarter, so that counts) and we at ThisPeculiar have some exciting news.

No, we didn’t just return from a time traveling expedition to the Miocene Period. I’m afraid you’ll be advised to temper expectations slightly.

THE RESURRECTIONIST OF CALIGO has appeared on not one but *three* “most anticipated” lists of 2019!

On 7 January, the Barnes & Noble Sci-Fi & Fantasy Blog published a list titled “105 Books Sci-Fi & Fantasy Editors Can’t Wait for You to Read in 2019”. Behold, RESURRECTIONIST is sitting pretty in the Angry Robot section. “With lots of twists, turns and some excellent characters, this is one of my favorite reads of the year, and I can’t wait for others to get their hands on it.”

Then on 10 January, RESURRECTIONIST made another unexpected appearance on the B&N SFF Blog, this time on the list “Say Hello to 25 Science Fiction & Fantasy Debuts that will transform your 2019”. “Who among us hasn’t dreamed of a lucrative career in Victorian-era body snatching?” Who among us, indeed.

The most recent surprise appearance of RESURRECTIONIST was a brief mention on the Kirkus blog! “Your Guide to 2019’s Sensational Lineup of Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror (Part 3)” included a rundown of select releases for the latter part of this year. It’s nice to know readers out there are taking notes…

And finally, in cased you missed it, good old B&N SFF blog featured the cover reveal for THE RESURRECTIONIST OF CALIGO. It features an excerpt from the first chapter, too! (Just to clarify, the excerpt starts a little further in from the actual opening). Enjoy!
